Position Overview:
They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sourcing Analyst to join their procurement team. As a Sourcing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain, ensuring the availability of raw materials, and maintaining cost-effective sourcing strategies. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the food manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential risks that may impact the sourcing strategy.
- Cost Optimization: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, negotiate pricing agreements, and implement strategies to achieve optimal procurement costs.
- Risk Management: Proactively assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including identifying alternative suppliers and developing contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply.
- Data Analysis: Utilize analytical tools and techniques to evaluate supplier performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to management.
- Sourcing Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, and stay informed about changes in the regulatory landscape affecting the food manufacturing industry.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the sourcing function and actively contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sourcing Analyst or in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and utilize data effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, changing industry landscape.
