Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and meet sales targets in Italy.
- Identify and establish relationships with new clients while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
Client Advisory:
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and recommending suitable customs, trade compliance, and trade solutions.
- Offer expert guidance on trade laws, duties, tariffs, and restrictions to help businesses stay compliant.
- Advise organizations on classification, valuation, and origin of goods, ensuring compliance with trade agreements and avoiding penalties.
Market Analysis:
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to build brand awareness.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of client-centric trade compliance programs and solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in freight forwarding, multimode transport, or related industries.
- Prior experience in customs or trade compliance consulting is a strong advantage but not essential.
- Willingness to learn and develop expertise in customs and trade compliance regulations.
- Fluent in both Italian and English (written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Results-oriented mindset with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under deadlines.
