Position Summary:
As a Supplier Developer for Software, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing supplier relationships for our key client in the aviation industry. This role will involve collaborating closely with suppliers to ensure software quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen in software development, extensive experience in supplier management, and knowledge of the aviation sector's regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management & Development: Build and maintain relationships with software suppliers, focusing on performance management, quality improvements, and alignment with project goals.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular assessments of supplier software quality, ensuring all deliverables meet aviation industry standards and compliance regulations.
Technical Collaboration: Work with suppliers on technical requirements, problem resolution, and enhancements, ensuring software products align with client needs and project specifications.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for continuous improvement within the supplier development process, streamlining work flows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure supplier compliance with aviation industry regulations (e.g., DO-178, DO-254) and proactively manage risks associated with supplier software development.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor supplier performance metrics, analyse trends, and provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Training & Development: Provide guidance and training to suppliers to foster a deep understanding of the client's requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, or related roles.
- Proven experience with software development or software quality assurance within the aviation industry.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with aviation software standards and regulations, including DO-178 and DO-254.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance practices and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance tracking.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration with suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving and analytic skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications: Certifications in Supplier Quality, Project Management, or relevant aviation certifications are a plus.
