Job Summary: The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and manage the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize process efficiency and productivity. This role will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors, ensuring the timely delivery of materials and products, and optimizing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's business goals and objectives.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of materials.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
- Logistics Coordination: Oversee the logistics and transportation of materials and finished products, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the supply chain team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Data Analysis: Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the steel manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
