Job Description:
- Manage the procurement of energy and gas supplies, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Developing and nurturing relationships with suppliers of natural gas, electricity, and industrial gases
- Negotiating favorable contracts and managing spot purchases to optimize supply costs
- Collaborating with operational teams to forecast energy needs and create efficient supply plans
- Monitoring and reporting on gas and energy inventory levels to ensure compliance with operational requirements
- Analyzing market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Over 5 years of experience specifically in purchasing natural gas, electricity, and industrial gases
- Proven track record in negotiating and executing energy supply contracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Alabama contract law is a plus
